Report a problem

Something did not work. Tell us what happened and we will fix it.

You do not need an account, and you do not need to give us your name. The people most likely to hit a problem are the people who just failed to install one of our things, and they do not have accounts. So this door is open to everybody, and no sign-in stands in front of it.

We do not record your IP address. Not "we discard it later" — there is no field for one in the journal this writes to, and a line carrying an unknown field is refused outright, so nothing can start recording one without the reader refusing the whole file. What is recorded with your words is: the time, a generated report id, and your browser's user agent string (which is often the whole diagnosis — "it fails on Safari 17"). Nothing else.

the bug report door is not wired on this host

There is no report journal configured here, so this door cannot record anything — and a door that swallowed your report would be worse than no door. It says so instead, rather than letting you assume a report sent here arrived.

Until it is wired, write to tony.gair@thedarkfactory.co.uk and it will reach a person.
